Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA)
Chief Pavlik rose through the ranks of the Metro Transit Police Department to be appointed Chief in 2013, and has served with the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) for over 25 years. Chief Pavlik leads the only tri-state police department in the United States, with an authorized strength of 468 officers, 140 special police officers and 101 civilian staff. He actively works with federal and regional law enforcement partners, and serves as a Chair of the Security Affairs Committee and as a Board Member with the America Public Transportation Association (APTA) and Chair of the Peer Advisory Group (PAG). He received his B.S. and M.S. in Management from Johns Hopkins University.
