Doug Kelsey was appointed General Manager of TriMet in 2018. Prior to becoming General Manager, Doug served as TriMet’s Chief Operating Officer since 2015 . In that position, Doug was responsible for all operational and maintenance functions, IT, and chaired TriMet’s Capital Committee. Doug continues to provide critical transportation and urban planning leadership and analysis. Before joining TriMet, Doug served as Chief Operating Officer at TransLink in Vancouver, B.C., and as President of its bus and rail companies. He was the accountable executive for the transportation planning and delivery for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Games and has supported strategic plans of other Olympic Games, including in London and Sochi. Doug earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Principia College and also graduated from the prestigious CEO program at the Kellogg School of Management. In the private sector, he oversaw operations, strategy and planning for Shell and Starbucks. Doug enjoys spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren at their Montana cabin as well as biking, hiking, fishing and riding his motorcycle throughout Cascadia!
